The personal archive

To remember

1. 01The anniversary in Paris when she rearranged the hotel room before we'd taken our coats off.
2. 02The dinner party where she quietly re-hemmed a guest's trousers between courses.
3. 03The summer she learned French 'for the films' and now only uses it to complain about bread.

FORTY

IS

Effortlessly elegant, fiercely kind, laughs before the punchline.

The quiet hours, and everything in them.
